29) Baptism

Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age"

Mark 16:15 "And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation, Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned"

Ezekiel 36:25 "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean, I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you, I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh, And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws"

Information

YHWH has given us pardoning of sins through his son Yahushua the Nazarene, through the new covenant that he foretold by his prophets.

In the new covenant, we are taught to be baptized in water, it is not optional.
Yahushua said that whoever believes the gospel and is baptized will be saved, so once you've repented and started to follow the Messiah, do not delay in getting baptized.

Mark 16:15 "And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation, Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned"

If we have faith in the name of Yahushua and are baptized for remission of sins, we put off the old person, and put on a new, dying to the former, and gaining eternal life in Yahushua who conquered the world.

Being baptized
is like a seal of you accepting that covenant, so it's very important to not ignore it, it's part of the faith, showing you believe the report and gospel, and accept the covenant of pardoning of sins through the blood of Yahushua.

I would like to add, please make sure you have actually repented 1st, it will not be a good thing for you to be baptized for pardoning of sins, and then continue in sin right after.
 That also will hurt your conscious once you realize what you've done.

1 Peter 3:21 "Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to Elohim for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Yahushua the Messiah"

There is no mention of being able to be baptized multiple times and being able to reset your record of debt whenever you feel like it, that actually goes against what the scriptures say.
 So truly put off the old person, and be reborn new, with a new spirit, and live a holy and clean life to the best of your ability.

The grace of Elohim is not meant for you to be able to sin against him, and do evil, all you want, repercussion free. It is not a license to sin.

Let's look at what Peter, the 1st disciple, told the men they should do;

Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of
Yahushua the Messiah for the pardoning of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit"

The 1st thing Peter mentions is to Repent.
 This is the most important thing for anyone to do and this has to be done first, you can not and should not do these things out of order.

Repent means to turn away from, so you have to know what you are turning away from before you can complete this 1st step.
 You must repent from disobedience to YHWH and do his will and keep his requirements which are found in his Law.
 This includes obeying Yahushua his anointed, the King of Yisrael.

Next he says be baptized in the name of
Yahushua the Messiah for the pardoning of sins.

YHWH
put the sins of all man on his Messiah, and Messiah also represented our Passover lamb, and atonement lamb, so being baptized in his name, YHWH will pardon your sins and uncleanness.

Now if you've not repented from sinning, then what is the point in being baptized? Because, you are going to willingly continue in sin and that would mean the Messiah died in vain for you.
 You will not receive pardoning, so love
YHWH and decide to obey him 1st, in love.
 Hear Paul's words;

Paul;
Hebrews 10:26 "For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins"

Last he says those who repent and are baptized will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit(The set-apart spirit).
 This is a wonderful thing that we should desire.

Allow me to mention, we have further evidence that you can not receive the TRUE Holy Spirit from YHWH unless you have repented first;

Acts 5:32 "And we are his witnesses of these things, and so is also the Holy Spirit whom Elohim has given to them that obey him"

It plainly says that Elohim gives the gift of the Holy Spirit to those who obey him.

Not only this example, but a scripture in Ezekiel seemingly speaking on baptism and the Holy Spirit states that the Holy Spirit will help guide us in keeping all of the commandments of
YHWH, further showing the importance of repentance and the commandments, and that this covenant and lifestyle is not a lawless covenant as the devil controller world is teaching;

I would like to mention that the scriptures show not everyone gets the Holy Spirit immediately after their baptism.

Here is an example of baptized ones who had not yet received the Holy Spirit;

Acts 8:16 "Because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them, they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord
Yahushua"

Here is an example of some who gained it before they were baptized;

Acts 10:47 "Can any man forbid water that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?

There have been those who received the Holy Spirit in times past, through the scriptures, even before baptism, but now the Holy Spirit is poured out for all to receive.

Collection of Scriptures

Ezekiel 36:25 "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean, I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you, I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh, And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws"

Mark 16:15 "And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation, Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe, in my name they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues, they will pick up serpents with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison it will not hurt them, they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.
So then the Lord Yahushua after he had spoken to them, was taken up into the heavens and sat down at the right hand of Elohim,
and they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs"

Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of
Yahushua the Messiah for the pardoning of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit"

Acts 8:16 "because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them, they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord
Yahushua"

Acts 10:47 "Can any man forbid water that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?

Paul;

Romans 6:3 "Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into
Yahushua Messiah were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death, that like as Messiah was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life, For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection, Knowing this, that our old man is impaled with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin, For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Now if we be dead with Messiah, we believe that we shall also live with him, Knowing that Messiah being raised from the dead, dies no more, death has no more dominion over him, For in that he died, he died to sin once, but in that he lives, he lives to Elohim, Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to Elohim through Yahushua Messiah our Master.
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof, Neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but yield yourselves to Elohim, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to Elohim, For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under the law, but under grace"

1 Peter 3:21 "Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to Elohim for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Yahushua the Messiah"
