The Name of the Messiah

Information

Here I will share information about the name of the Messiah.

Today due to standardization and reach of modern media, it has become most common to refer to the Messiah as "Jesus".

"Jesus" is what is now written in most modern translations, so the majority of people believe without 2nd thought that this was his name.

Though just like with the name of the Father, there have been conspiracies to hide the name of the Messiah, and even certain modern Christians work to hide it from the public, I like to refer to those certain people as being part of the "false name" movement.

Now, since "Jesus" is what is written in people's Bibles, I of course do not attack people who are referring to him by that name.
Everyone has to learn, just like I have done and still do, so I just like to share the truth with them.
Many people have a habit of attacking and rebuking strongly people who have never been told differently about things.
They should instead seek to share to them, and then if they behave poorly after that, then react accordingly.
There is certainly a difference between not knowing something, and knowing something and choosing to ignore it.

"Jesus" is not even a Hebrew name, and it means nothing in Hebrew.
Though in Hebrew it does sound like you're trying to say something about a horse since "sus" means horse in Hebrew.
Though the main point is, the scriptures give indication of the meaning of the name, and it does not match "Jesus", but rather matches his real Hebrew name.

Our modern "J" sound is not even present in Hebrew, in fact it wasn't even present in English just centuries ago!
It is a newer addition to the English language.
Initially "J" in English made the same sound as the modern "Y".

Men decided to use the new "J" for Hebrew names in the Bible with "Y" sounds.
So, in those early days of the letter "J", men were actually pronouncing all of the Biblical Hebrew names spelled with "J" as if it was "Y". So they were much more accurate in pronunciation in those days.

Over time this knowledge has been lost, and really it hasn't even been that much time, so, such things can show us how quickly society can be altered and knowledge forgotten and confused.

The modern pronunciation of "Jesus", which is said like jee-zuhs, is a modern mispronunciation of Je'sus.

If you go back only to the year 1600AD then no one would even know who you was talking about if you said the modern "Jesus", because they did not write, or say it that way, Je'sus is meant to be pronounced something like (ee-ay-soos).

While there are many people who oppose the sharing of this information, those willing to accept the facts can easily see that the modern name "Jesus" is incorrect, and when we trace it's evolution backwards from the information available to us, it tells us that this name originally started out as "Yahushua".

You may have actually seen something like this mentioned to you already, such as from comments inside of a modern Bible translation.
Some sources, including my English Bible, openly point out how the Messiah's name wasn't really "Jesus" but actually had the exact same name as "Joshua" the son of Nun, the one who took Moses' place after his death.
"Joshua" the son of Nun, was really Yahushua the son of Nun in the Hebrew.

So if modern translations were more consistent, then modern people could have very well instead been saying "Joshua Christ" instead of "Jesus Christ".

In the book of Zechariah, we see that the name of the coming Messiah is revealed to us when we read in context.

We are told about the promised branch, that is going to be raised up to David to be King and reign on his throne forever, we know it's talking about the Messiah, and we know Yahushua the Messiah was called a Nazarene(branch).

Here is where YHWH reveals to us the name of the branch;

Zechariah 6:11 "Take silver and gold and make a crown and set it on the head of Yahushua the son of Yahuzadak the high priest and say to him, Thus says YHWH of hosts, behold the man whose name is the BRANCH"

The modern translations there also usually say "Joshua", but I have used Yahushua, what the Hebrew text actually says.

As you can see, the modern translations being inconsistent, and giving false translations, helps to hide information and truth from us. A lot of people miss that Yahushua is plainly called "the branch" in the "New Testament" because of loss of information from translations.

So, from the spelling on the Hebrew text,
we can for certain tell it is not anything like "Je'sus". "Jesus" is not the name of the branch according to YHWH at Zechariah 6.

Additionally, from this scripture in Hebrew we can see that the 1st part of his actual name will be YAHU, that is 2 syllables, instead of just the shorter YAH.
This is clear to those who can read Hebrew because of the Hebrew letter waw/vav after the yod and heh.

So from this information, we can rule out a list of claimed names, such as those that omit the 2nd syllable of YAHU, such as Yashua/Yeshua.

I'll share though that to my knowledge the shortened Yashua bears the same meaning as Yahushua, that is "YHWH salvation" which people tend to interpret as YHWH is salvation, or maybe even YHWH's salvation in some cases.
Yeshua however is said to be a word just meaning "salvation".

From looking at the evidences for our creator's name YHWH which gives credit to YAHU rather than YEHO, (for example we all say haleluYAH!), We can be led to see that this name is likely Yahushua.

There are some who however use "Yahusha".

I have researched the evidence and from what I have seen the evidence suggests the ending was not "sha".

The modern teachings that it was "Yahusha" seem to stem from misunderstandings over certain copies of the Hebrew scriptures, the Masoretic text that our English Bibles uses is one of those.

There came a time when Hebrew was updated and gained a vowel pointing system. After men became familiar with this new system, scribes altered the texts to have less letters than the originals that they were copying from.

They may have fully believed what they were doing was fine and maybe even good, but they created some issues.
After the vowel pointing system came out, the fully spelled versions of many words and names were no longer needed, the letters in words that helped make sure we pronounced them correctly could be replaced with vowel points.

There is one group that spreads a lot of mixed up teachings, and one of the things they like to do is address "shua" vs "sha", and they attack "shua", and teach people not to use it in many names including for the Messiah.

Do not blindly follow such people who make up their own Hebrew and tell you to not follow the real Hebrews. They're trying to steal their heritage, and their claims are not based on anything solid.

When I was reviewing the evidences to try and figure out which side was being more accurate, I was being misled by people who would say that the full spelling, like this; יהושוע, which would say Yahushua, was not found in the dead sea scrolls or older scriptures that are 1000 years older than the Hebrew text we use today, and they said the Yahushua spellings were added into the newer versions of the Hebrew scriptures by men.

If what they stated was true then it definitely would impact my research and how I looked at these names, but it turned out to not even be true, and they were mistaken, and telling great lies.

I have seen the full spelling in the scriptures and I have researched ancient texts, including the dead sea scrolls.
I have seen the visual evidence that the full spelling of יהושוע was found in these ancient texts, and "shua" was in them rather frequently compared to our modern texts.
These things clearly indicate "shua" isn't some sort of modern error.

The full spelling is actually in the dead sea scrolls many more times than in the Masoretic text which is used today.
That is what we would expect to see if certain scribes indeed removed letters after the vowel pointing system was introduced.

Other copies of scriptures that are older than the Masoretic text also shows "shua", translations of the scriptures into other languages such as Aramaic in those days as well showed "shua".
Aramaic is a good example because it has the same alphabet as Hebrew!

Parts of the Dead Sea Scrolls is now uploaded online, and you're able to go view them yourself. They have fragments uploaded that show the full spelling of Yahushua on them.
(I will share images from the dead sea scrolls here later when I update again)

So while I seen the evidence, that the ancient scriptures said Yahushua and it's not just a modern corruption, there were some other scriptures that also stood out to me that were using "shua" within them.

My main example of this that I am talking about is YHWH at Isaiah 56:1, he says that "yeshuati" is near to come, yeshuati here means "my salvation".
This is something that stands out to me and seems fitting that the son's name would be made up from this Hebrew word that YHWH spoke concerning his soon to come salvation that we today now know was redemption through his righteous son!

Isaiah 56:1 "Thus says YHWH, Keep judgment, and do righteousness, for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed"

There are more examples of "yeshuati" being used in the Hebrew text;

Psalm 91:14 "Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him, I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation"

(I will update with more examples.)

Now, I won't say I am 100% certain, but I will say the evidence looks clear to me. This is where I've came to in my studies so far with what's available today. So, consider it yourself.

The main group that shares "sha" as being correct are those in the denomination "hebrew israelites".
This denomination of men says many incorrect things.
Some of them claim to know how to speak the original Hebrew, though so far I've seen no evidence for them to actually think that but just assumptions and wishes on their part.
If that is the case, and they're just making up stuff, they're creating their own dialect of Hebrew and helping to hide true Hebrew meanings from the texts.

Basically they're telling you don't trust the people who read Hebrew today because they've corrupted it, while they create their own language based on Hebrew!
It is better to use the modern Hebrew dialect for learning, than a modern invented dialect by superficial people wanting to take the heritage of YHWH's people.

Additionally, there are indicators that point to Yahushua, such as reverse engineering some things from the translations.
(I will update with this later)

The same man who put together his studies on the name of the creator also put together a study he has done on the name of the Messiah.
 I will share it with you to consider;
