His Word is Truth

Unadulterated Biblical Truth

28) Healing, Miracles,  Gifts of the Spirit, and Requests in Prayer

1 John 3:21 "Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward Elohim and whatever we ask we receive from him because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him"

Proverbs 15:29 "YHWH is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous"

Proverbs 28:9 "He who turns his ear away from hearing the Law, even his prayers are an abomination"

This page is under construction elsewhere, for the time being I've just copied and pasted a section from page 23 "Lacking Faith & Atheism" concerning prayer and miracles.;

nother common stumbling block that people cause themselves to fall with.
Those who turn against their heavenly Father because a prayer is not answered, obviously do not deserve to have prayers and requests answered by their maker.

This is akin to a wicked youth behaving foolishly when it does not get its selfish way, and not loving and respecting their parent and their parent's will.

You asking Elohim for something and you not seeing it done instantly, or it is not done the exact way you wanted or demanded, or it is not done at all, definitely does not prove anything negative towards the Father, and it does not prove atheism with all of it's false doctrines in any way whatsoever.

It certainly does not disprove the Bible in any way, as nothing in it says you are going to get every request answered, and nothing in it says that whatever you speak will magically poof into your life and existence as you desire it. Such a thought is illogical.

Worldly men are the ones who are teaching these ideas, not the Bible.
People may like to take verses out of the Bible and use them out of context to mislead you, but you need to read and study everything in context before you behave wickedly towards Elohim because of what a man said, or what a group of sheeple led you to believe by their personal actions.

Prayers not being answered is actually perfectly in-line with what the Bible says.

Now, these sort of people are essentially saying that if Elohim does not do everything they say, then they're going to turn against him.

This is wicked and not wise, and the people need to learn humility before Elohim turns against them to destroy them.
We need to learn our place.
They are far below Elohim and he does not have to obey anyone.

It is amazing that we even would think ourselves worthy to speak to YHWH if we truly understand how great he is, yet we have people behaving proudly against him.

Elohim will answer what he wants to answer, in the ways that he wants to.
Humans often demand that he do it in a certain way, and miss out that he knows a better way, yet they insist it be how they think it should be done, how they want it.

For example, let's say you pray for a way from point a to point b. You in your prayer ask for what you think it takes to get from point a to point b, but Elohim knows you actually need something else, and it's far better and you're clueless to what you're even talking about.
Some people would stumble here and turn on Elohim when they're not getting their exact demand, and they're blind that there may be a better way and they do not know everything.

You see, the person may not only need to learn humility, but also how to pray, or even when to not pray but hold their tongue and just trust their life in the hands of their heavenly Father.
Also evaluate yourself, and be honest, have you been sending up selfish prayers, those that are about you and for you, and not having unselfish genuine prayers for others?
If 1 is severely outnumbering the other, then you likely need to look at your heart, it can be easy to slip into focusing too much on oneself without realizing.

Every single vain and thoughtless prayer of mankind can not be answered, and if they were, it would break existence/life.

Do not let the satan steal you away with such a deception, the truth is obvious.

It is a blessing to you that every prayer is not answered.

It is a blessing to yourself and other people.

We honestly do not know what we want, or how things will turn out, or what is best for us, we are like small narrow minded ants in the dirt, that are clueless to the greater world around us.

Let me give an example, many people may pray that they get a certain job they're interviewing for, and they may ask others to join in on this prayer in hopes it will make it more likely to happen.

The reality may be that the job is not really in their best interest, even though they truly believe it's a great thing for them.
Also recruiting others in hopes to get what you want can be bad for a few reasons.
If the prayer is not answered, you can help stumble a lot of people if they're holding to the same misconceptions being mentioned on this page.
Another situation where knowing how to ask and what to ask is beneficial.
If a friend asks me to join them in petitioning our father so she can get a job she wants, I would instead say, I will pray for what is in your best interest will happen and that YHWH will be gracious and merciful to her. My want is for that friend to seek YHWH and come to knowledge, not get a job that is going to help stumble her away from the Truth even longer.

If you pray that your grandparent not die, and they die, this does not prove atheism and it does not go against the Bible. That's in line with the Bible, YHWH told us man sinned and was cursed with death because of it, and this is why we die.

You should know that people die, and also understand why.
If Elohim decided to let that person die, then you should accept it after the fact since you can't do anymore and the Father did not cause what you wanted to happen.

I know of elderly who had a history of being selfishly wreckless and endangering the lives of many others, and no one would help put a stop to it, their family tolerated it.
Then the elderly fell ill and death was approaching, and their family prayed for them to make a full recovery.
Now if that elderly did make a full recovery, then it would be likely that they just go back to endangering the lives of innocent people, and the result of that prayer could have actually brought death to other innocent and young people who had not even got to live as long as that elderly.
So in such a case, the desire of the people should have been repentance and healing.

If YHWH allows something, do not try to fight against it.

Take a lesson from King David who prayed for the life of his child to be spared, but it was not answered.
He prayed and fasted in hopes YHWH would grant him his request, but the child died.
The people were afraid to even tell him the news because of how he was acting when it was still alive, but David found out and did not push on the matter further, but accepted it.
This doesn't mean he was no longer sad that it happened or that he was no longer in pain about all the things that happened.

2 Samuel 12:18 "And it came to pass on the 7th day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead, for they said, Behold while the child was yet alive, we spoke to him and he would not listen to our voice, how will he then distress himself if we tell him that the child is dead?
But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead, therefore David said to his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.
Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of YHWH and worshiped. Then he came to his own house, and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.
Then said his servants to him, What thing is this that you have done? you did fast and weep for the child while it was alive, but when the child was dead, you did rise and eat bread.
And he said, While the child was yet alive I fasted and wept, for I said, Who can tell whether YHWH will be gracious to me that the child may live? But now he is dead, why should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me"

David trusted in YHWH.

Now, many people pray to gain a boyfriend of girlfriend, and then get upset when they don't gain them.

They let their flesh and lusts blind them, and they do not realize that what they're asking violates the rights and free-will of the other people and would alter their lives and so many other people's lives if they were given exactly what they demanded.

While this isn't an impossible prayer to be answered, it's just usually a bad request, mainly when it is asked the wrong way.
Also people are asking to be placed with people they don't even know too well if at all, and would probably not even be compatible with.

So once again, we really don't know what we want, and instead of thinking you're entitled to a mate without doing something, it would probably be best to 1st make yourself a good mate that they would like to be with.

Plenty of people have requested such, and sometimes even just a day later be glad that it didn't come true when they gain more information on them.

Imagine, you pray for a girlfriend and you get her and marry her and have kids, then someone else pray that she is their girlfriend and they don't even know she is married, or they even do know and don't care.
Come on, it should be obvious humans do not, and should not, get everything they want. They wouldn't even appreciate anything that way.
Anyway we are commanded to not covet other people's things and commit adultery, so that prayer would obviously not be answered for that reason.

Women, imagine you have a husband that you love and have children with, and then some complete stranger prays that your beloved drop you like they never even knew you and come be their man. That wouldn't be good, and YHWH is good. We are the bad ones.

It is the righteous who elohim listen to, and they also know that if a prayer is not answered then that is fine, and they just want the will of Elohim to be done even over their will.

So while the righteous may have plenty of prayers that do not appear to be answered, they're perfectly okay with that, and rejoice greatly in the prayers that are answered by Elohim.

Look at children, they may say so many things to their earthly fathers, but even the earthly fathers know what is best for the child and does not do everything the child says or requests.
If a child followed it's own will and commanded it's parent around, it may spend all of it's time playing at the park and never make time to sit down and study.

If you can understand it's backwards for a parent to obey the child like that and become their servant, then you need to think about how Elohim is far above an earthly parent in authority and honor.

Another thing to keep in mind, if 100% of prayers were answered, or if they were answered so easily, people would start attributing it to the wrong things, such as their idols, or even themselves, taking credit in the power as if it was theirs since they can invoke it, and to take credit for an answered prayer is wicked pride.

At that day you shall ask in my name, and I say not to you, that I will pray the Father for you, For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from Elohim"

1 Corinthians 12:6 "and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same Elohim who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Messiah. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Hebrews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? But as it is, Elohim arranged the members in the body, each one of them as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, which our more presentable parts do not require. But Elohim has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it,  that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together, if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Messiah and individually members of it. And Elohim has appointed in the congregation first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But, earnestly desire the higher gifts"

James 4:3 "When you ask you do not receive because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures"

1 Peter 3:12 "For the eyes of Elohim are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer, But the face of Elohim is against those doing evil"

1 John 3:21 "Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward Elohim and whatever we ask we receive from him because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him"

1 John 5:13 "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the son of Elohim that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him"
